a bit shabby compared to other maldive islands...
But good nonetheless. They really should give the place a lick of paint and then Alimatha would rate alongside some of the more famous Maldive Islands. We particularly liked the fact that they ony have 60 bungalows so you really can get as much peace and quiet as you require.
Home of the amazing titan triggerfish, this tropical giant can seem very scary when he is heading straight toward your goggles.

Reviews of Alimatha
It seems they are now refering to this island as Alimatha Aquatic Resort. Just to add to the confusion in Italy it is being marketed as Bravo Club Alimatha.
Chipper chaps
Those Italians are very happy campers aren't they! The incescant beach volleyball grates after week 1.
Italian Resort
I was told that Alimatha is an Italian speaking resort. They speak Italian, cook italian and organise in Italian, so unless you speak italian...
Its OK
The resort is OK, not bottom of the pile, but not five stars either. You gets what you pays for in this life.
I disagree
I really liked this resort and think that calling it shabby is unfair. Alimatha might not be as good as other maldive islands as you say, but I had never been to the maldives and thought the accomodation was just fine.
