The island is now known as the White Sands Resort & Spa following a big overhaul. We have to agree that the new name is apt.
The Maldive island formerly known as Ari Beach Island Resort is now the White Sands Resort & Spa; one of the more sought after Island Resorts. Ari Atoll holidays are popular because Ari is one of the biggest atolls and has a slightly better climate because is located in the west of the archipelago.

If you are going to snorkel, wear a t-shirt. I ruined an entire holiday by burning my back. The sealife makes you forget time, so without sun protection you are gonna burn baby.

I went a couple of years ago and really enjoyed Ari Beach island. The weather was fantastic and the island was marvelous. I urge you to visit soon, before global warming destroys the maldives for good.
