maldives photoBOLIFUSHI Island Resort is good value if a little desheveled. The flight from Male aboard a tiny seaplane is white knuckle riot.

We particularly enjoyed the beach barbecues. However. the ultimate experience was the snorkelling with dolphins in the wild. This is not something they can ever guarantee. These are wild dolphins and they can easily outswim you if they want to get away.

We basically were surrounded by a pod of 8 dolphins who kept swimming closer and closer to whoever kept their arms close to their sides until they were practically nose to nose with us. However, if anyone tried to touch them, they shot off like a rocket and wouldn't come near that person again.

It really was awe inspiring and the best experience of my life.

Wonderful diving

Stoney Cove is nothing like this. Here we get crystal waters amazing vis, life everywhere and people to help you gear up and get back on the boat at the end of the dive. I enjoyed diving before the maldives, but now I doubt I will ever enjoy a dive so much again in my life.

Hot Sun!

Poor Jo! We hope your sunburn gets better soon. Jo does raise a good point. Even in the rainy season, the maldives are hot and being so close to the equator, the suns rays are very powerful. Dont forget to pack the sun cream. Factor 25 and above is best.

Sunburns

Water Bungalow was basic but a lush sea view. The sea was VERY VERY VERY HOT. In October its rainy season but only rains for minutes .......... Staff wonderful. Could not enjoy the whole holiday as badly burnt!

We got stuck in a week of tropical showers.

I went in October but the temperature was just too high to allow us to really enjoy ourselves.
